FAQs
A few things you might be wondering...
We grow seasonally, work with nature, and do things a little more slowly here. Below are answers to the most common questions we receive. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, you’re always welcome to reach out.
When are your flowers available?
Our flowers are grown and offered seasonally. Availability changes throughout the year depending on what’s in bloom and the pace of the season. Dahlias and peonies are available during their natural growing windows, and we share updates as each season unfolds.
The best way to stay informed is to join our email list or follow along on social.
Do you ship flowers or tubers?
Yes — we offer seasonal shipping for dahlia tubers within the United States.
Because we’re based in New Hampshire, tubers are shipped mid to late April, once weather conditions are warm enough to ensure they arrive safely. You’ll receive email updates along the way, including tracking information when your order ships.
Fresh flowers are offered locally when available.
Can I visit the farm?
Yes — and you’re always welcome.
During the growing season, we have two fields, our U-Pick dahlia field is open to the public during regular hours at Bird Dog Cider, located at 150 Bayside Rd, Greenland, New Hampshire.
U-Pick Hours:
-
Thursday–Saturday: 1–6 PM
-
Sunday: 12–5 PM
Visitors are welcome to walk the field, enjoy what’s in bloom, and pick flowers during these hours — no reservation required.
In addition to open U-Pick hours, we also offer guided field tours by reservation. These are relaxed, small-group experiences designed for garden clubs, book clubs, bachelorette gatherings, and anyone curious about how the field is grown and tended. Tour details and booking information can be found on our Tour The Field page.
Are your dahlias certified organic?
Yes. Our dahlias are certified organic, and our growing practices emphasize prevention, observation, and care from the soil up.
You can learn more about how we tend the field — including sanitation, companion planting, and culling — on our Grown With Attention page.
How do you care for the health of the field?
We rely on a combination of:
-
companion planting to attract beneficial insects
-
careful sanitation practices
-
close observation throughout the season
-
thoughtful culling when needed
Our goal is to support balance in the field and allow nature to do as much of the work as possible.
What if something isn’t right with my order?
If you have a concern with your order, please email us directly within the timeframe outlined in our Tuber Sales Terms & Conditions. Including your order number and photos (when applicable) helps us assist you quickly.
We always aim to be fair, thoughtful, and responsive.
Do you offer refunds or exchanges?
Because we sell living, seasonal products, all sales are final, except in cases covered by our terms and conditions. Full details can be found on our Tuber Sales Information & Terms page.
How can I stay in the loop?
Joining our email list is the best way to hear about:
-

-

-

-

We keep emails thoughtful and intentional — never overwhelming.
